| Imvu allows people to call themselves names such as "Guest_sexybitch4u94848. Mostly 13 year old girls give themselves these kinds of names. Really ? Does anyone else find this inappropriate for 13 year old's to name themselves that ? Please stop people using the words "Bitch" or anything similar in their avatar names. |

no matter how many filters to put in, people will find ways to dodge them.
if you try putting in names into the premium names, many many adult words are either 100k or 500k. This means imvu specifically picks these names and chooses to make profit out of them :/
i had a big thread on this which listed loads of inappropriate names imvu wanted to sell, but as the forum search is beyond crap i cant find it.

According to the VGRP:

The TOS and Forum Guidelines do not mention which words are and aren't profanity, so I'm going by the Virtual Goods Rating Policy for this one.
As a result, bitch is okay to have in an avatar name.

Just going on a leg and shooting in the dark on this one. You have to be at least 13 years old to use IMVU, I would have to look at the TOS to actually confirm my statement, or maybe someone can shed some light, but wouldn't that rate IMVU PG 13?
If this is the case, actually look up what the PG 13 rating is, and it might explain why it's not filtered out, but of course i'm just going on speculation, it's not anything official.
